Proceeds from the Banded Peak Challenge, an outdoor activity for individuals and families, go toward Easter Seals Camp Horizon. The Challenge consists of a 10 km (6.2 mi) hike and 27 km (16.8 mi) bike to the summit of Banded Peak Mountain.

Whitewater enthusiasts in Alberta won't want to miss this annual festival on the Kananaskis River. Sponsored by the Calgary Kayak Club, the three-day event offers kayakers of all levels (novice to advanced) the opportunity to have some fun on the water with clinics, guided runs, boater cross and a freestyle rodeo, as well as having live music, BBQs, camping, massage and more. Tickets available for individual days/nights or the whole weekend. Held at Canoe Meadows, 40 minutes west of Calgary.
